OASIS commander-in-chief NOEL GALLAGHER knows his musical onions.
So when he provides a definitive Top Ten of his favourite acts of all time, music fans listen.

The songwriter has done just that and, unsurprisingly, THE BEATLES come in at the top.

Noel, on tour with the band, blogged: “In the dressing room the traditional debate has started about the Top Ten bands of all time. “No solo artists allowed. No female artists allowed. No collectives allowed. This is the 1,000th time we’ve been here with this. It never gets any less interesting for me.” For the record, his definitive list is:

LONDRA (8 settembre) - Il chitarrista degli Oasis Noel Gallagher è stato ricoverato per breve tempo in ospedale a Toronto, in Canada, dopo essere stato aggredito da un uomo nel corso di un concerto domenica sera nella città canadese. Lo ha annunciato il gruppo in un comunicato.

Gallagher, 41 anni, stava suonando «Morning Glory» quando, secondo la nota «l'aggressore è arrivato correndo dal retro della scena ed ha spinto da dietro Noel, che è caduto malamente sugli altoparlanti».

Dopo qualche minuto d'interruzione, il gruppo è tornato in scena, ma al termine del concerto Noel è stato portato in ospedale per essere visitato per una sospetta «frattura di una costola e una possibile lacerazione di un legamento». L'assalitore, immobilizzato dal servizio d'ordine del concerto, è stato messo in stato di fermo dalla polizia canadese. Il gruppo ha precisato di non aver deciso se tenere o no il concerto previsto per domani, martedì 9 settembre, a Londra, nella provincia canadese dell'Ontario.
